“The Biotechnological Platform in Reproduction of Carnivores (PBRC) is the first seed bank of carnivores not only in Algeria, but in all of North Africa. It came to crown with success several years of work and sacrifice and was created in the form of a Joint Research Service within the University of Blida1.

It was born out of a national security issue relating to the mastery of modern techniques for local reproduction of the service dog. She will work tirelessly for the promotion of professional canine breeding in the hope of seeing all the public services of the security sector in Algeria only use products from Algerian breeding and why not from local breeds (Atlas Shepherd) !

This platform also aims to be a center of reference and excellence in Medicine, Surgery and Biotechnologies of reproduction in domestic and wild carnivores. These activities revolve around four axes: development research, practical training, socio-economic economy and service delivery.

Our ultimate goal is finally to contribute to the development in our country of evidence-based and modern veterinary medicine that integrates biotechnological tools!”
