Following the letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has launched a call for applications for mandate holders to be appointed during the 55th session of the Human Rights Council (HRC), which will be held in Geneva from February 26 to April 5, 2024.

The mandates in question are:

• Special Rapporteur on the question of human rights obligations relating to the enjoyment of a safe, clean, healthy and sustainable environment.
• Working Group on the Rights of Peasants and Other People Working in Rural Areas.

Candidates who wish to apply are invited to submit their application, including a cover letter, via the online application procedure no later than lth November 30, 2023 at noon (Geneva time).
