“Our goal at the Intensive Language Teaching Center (ILTC) is to promote the learning of foreign languages as well as the cultures associated with them. The languages offered include English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian, Turkish, Korean, Arabic, and soon Chinese, among others.
This training at the ILTC of Blida 1 University is open to all university students regardless of their background, high school students, university teachers, administrative staff, and any other adults external to the university.
From an employment and career perspective, in today’s highly competitive job market, employers seek candidates who stand out. Therefore, knowing one or more foreign languages gives applicants a better chance of being chosen.
In exchanges within the international scientific community, English remains the dominant language for commerce, finance, and technology worldwide. It is advantageous for researchers, whether for long-term scientific internships, short-term assignments, conferences, or teaching, to learn English and the language of the host country (such as Turkish, Spanish, Italian, German, etc.). This facilitates better integration into the host country.

“Culturally, learning new languages fosters sensitivity to other cultures, promoting tolerance and open-mindedness.
From a health perspective, it has been proven that learning a new language, with its vocabulary, grammatical structures, and idiomatic expressions, improves memory and attention span. Mastery of at least one language enables individuals to switch between languages, focusing on the one being used while inhibiting others. This cognitive flexibility aids in making more rational decisions and can delay certain brain diseases.
Finally, it has been observed that strong friendships develop among members of the same learning group at ILTC, which strengthen over the years of study (through different language levels). Many learners attest that coming to ILTC to study a language brings them joy and serenity, providing a temporary escape from daily life.
Welcome to ILTC!”
